MediTourDirect would like to congratulate Costa Rica on their valiant efforts and determination in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Having not only survived but topped the so-called ‘Group of Death’ on 20 June defeating Uruguay, Italy and England, then conquering Greece, they lost by only a hair yesterday to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
The Costa Rican team and their fans displayed the best of this nation’s qualities – determination, sportsmanship, incredible teamwork and loyalty. As the Costa Rican coach commented before the Netherlands match on British television – “If we win -good. If we lose – good. We are living the dream in Brazil”.
Though the founders of MediTourDirect are British by Birth, they were rooting for Costa Rica and extremely proud of Costa Rica’s achievements all the way. As they say, ‘British by birth, Pura Vida by nature’. Claire Charnock, CEO, was travelling in England at the time of the Costa Rican – England match. “Its just so refreshing to mention to a complete stranger in England that you live in Costa Rica and they know where it is and that it has a winning football team”.
