This week MediTourDirect leaves the beauty of Costa Rica to participate in the 7th Worldwide Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress in Washington DC.
The Congress is the highlight of the medical tourism calendar, where 3,000 delegates from 160 countries will meet for education and networking.
MediTourDirect is delighted to promote and share their network of quality accredited healthcare and travel providers in Costa Rica, with companies from all over the world.
Claire Charnock, CEO of MediTourDirect will also attend the 2nd Global Womens’ Leadership Congress, today and she is enthusiastic to represent her adopted country –
“Costa Rica is the ideal location for Canadian and US companies considering medical tourism as an option for their employees.
In 2013, 900,000 medical travellers left the US to travel overseas for healthcare. Costa Rica was the third most visited destination for those medical tourists, just behind Mexico and Thailand. Many factors make Costa Rica an ideal choice for the medical traveler – Costa Rica’s geographical proximity to the US (2.5 hours from Miami), its safe tourist friendly environment and its infrastructure – Costa Rica welcomed 2.2 million tourists in 2013, equivalent to more than 50% of its population of 4.7million!
We look forward to connecting many more companies with our network of quality accredited healthcare providers in Costa Rica and making medical tourism an accessible option for them.”
